8th Pay Commission News: The Central Government is expected to make a new announcement regarding the Eighth Pay Commission soon. The ongoing obstacles in the 8th Pay Commission process are expected to be resolved. This news will benefit approximately 10 million central government employees and pensioners who have been waiting for the new Pay Commission for the past few months. However, the government has neither formed a committee nor announced its members.
What are the government's preparations?
The government is actively engaged in formulating the rules and regulations for the 8th Pay Commission. According to media reports, the government may issue a notification by November 2025. Experts believe that it will not take much time to draft the 8th Pay Commission. Because the term of the 7th Pay Commission will end on December 31st, the government will have to take necessary steps.
Under this, the government can appoint members of the new commission. Currently, the central government is reviewing the suggestions received from the states, the Finance Department, and other departments. Minister of State for Finance, Pankaj Chaudhary, has stated that the government is actively working on this matter. He also stated that the notification regarding the 8th Central Pay Commission will be issued by the government in due course.
When can the 8th Pay Commission be implemented?
The implementation of the 8th Pay Commission will provide financial benefits to more than 5 million employees and approximately 6.5 million pensioners. Considering the timeframe for the implementation of the previous Pay Commission, it took 2 to 3 years. Therefore, it is expected that the 8th Pay Commission will be implemented by 2028. However, the government will provide all employees with salary increases during these years in the form of bonuses, meaning they will not suffer any loss.
