Jennifer Aniston, beloved for her iconic role as Rachel Green on Friends, receives flowers from her long-time friend Adam Sandler every year on the same day, a gesture that carries profound meaning. In an exclusive 2023 interview with The Wall Street Journal, the actress, 56, revealed that Sandler, 59, sends her a bouquet each Mother’s Day, a tradition rooted in love and unwavering friendship.

The two first met in the 1990s at a Los Angeles eatery called Jerry’s Deli. Since then, they have shared the screen in films such as Just Go with It and Netflix’s Murder Mystery and its 2023 sequel. Off-camera, their camaraderie is equally legendary, marked by playful banter and mutual support.

A Gesture of Solidarity
The flowers, sent by Sandler and his wife Jackie, hold extra significance given Aniston’s public journey with fertility challenges. The actress has been candid about her experiences with IVF and alternative therapies, revealing in Allure that she explored every possible route to motherhood in her 30s and 40s without success.

“All the years and years and years of speculation… It was really hard. I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it,” Aniston shared. She eventually came to terms with her journey, stating, “The ship has sailed. I have zero regrets. I actually feel a little relief now because there is no more, ‘Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe’. I don’t have to think about that anymore.”

Aniston has often addressed speculation linking her past relationships, including her marriages to Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux, to her inability to conceive. She told Harper’s Bazaar UK, “[The media] didn’t know my story, or what I’d been going through over the past 20 years to try to pursue a family, because I don’t go out there and tell them my medical woes.”

She also clarified her personal choice regarding adoption during the Armchair Expert podcast, saying, “When people say, ‘But you can adopt,’ I don’t want to adopt. I want my own DNA in a little person. That’s the only way, selfish or not, whatever that is, I’ve wanted it.”

Hollywood Projects and Future Plans
Beyond friendship and personal milestones, Aniston continues to explore exciting professional ventures. Last month, she, Sandler, and Drew Barrymore discussed potential collaborations, including joking ideas like a Three’s Company remake and a prospective reboot of the cult classic Death Becomes Her, originally starring Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn.

Through decades of Hollywood glitz, blockbuster films, and personal trials, the annual bouquet from Sandler serves as a touching reminder of friendship and support. For Aniston, this simple yet meaningful tradition exemplifies that love and loyalty often shine brightest in the small gestures.
