If Murdaugh Death In The Family's plot around the real-life disturbing double murder case doesn't attract fans then its unbelievable cast certainly will.

In June 2021, Maggie Murdaugh and her son Paul were fatally shot at their family home in Hampton, South Carolina.

Her husband and Paul's dad Alex Murdaugh alerted the police of the incident but it later came out that the top personal injury lawyer was actually the person who murdered his family.

Alex was subsequently given two consecutive life sentences plus an additional 40 years in federal prison for financial crimes.

Premiering on Wednesday, October 14, Murdaugh Death In The Family will explore the events that led up to Maggie and Paul's murders as well as the aftermath.

Portraying former lawyer and later convicted killer Alex Murdaugh is actor Jason Clarke.

The Australian star is remembered for playing Tommy Caffee in the series Brotherhood, as well as for starring in Oppenheimer, Mudbound, Zero Dark Thirty and the newly released The Last Frontier.

Actress Patricia Arquette has starred in CSI: Cyber, Boardwalk Empire, Otherhood and, most notably, Severance on Apple TV+ as Harmony Cobel.

She is behind Alex's wife Maggie Murdaugh who became one of his two victims in real-life and in the Disney+ series.

Paul is the second of Alex's victims, as well as the youngest son of both him and Maggie.

Murdaugh Death In The Family takes viewers back two years prior to the murders when the drama really began as Paul was involved in a drunken boat crash that killed one of his friends.
