NEW DELHI: Number of MSMEs registered on Udyam portal increased from about 1.6 crore in April 2023 to 6.9 crore in 2025, according to a senior government official.
Dr Rajneesh , additional secretary at the ministry of MSME , said, "Our goal is to add another 4 crore MSMEs to this ecosystem in next four to five years."
He said MSMEs employ around 30 crore people across smaller towns and rural areas .
